yeah man, some 8-bit --> 2-bit sprites are good conversions

SNES sprites are at best 4bit. NES and Gameboy ones are 2bit. MZX ones are 1bit, except in SMZX mode (2bit there). But the consoles also have normal transparency, and MZX doesn't really. Anyway, getting console sprites to look good in MZX is challenging. I'd still prefer to see some new sprites for a change though..

Using a black background will make a sprite take the background's background color, which lets you have some kind of transparancy color for SMZX mode.

If i get myself a video card that can work smzx mode, will the mario chars become messed up and will I have to redue them? Because I will not redue all of those animations I did with the char edit command.

This game looks Kool! Its a little slow, but then again you said that you got a better version in the works. Hope to see it soon!

EDIT: bowser and kirby's chars are currently being worked on. I finished small mario's chars aswell as some more 2x1 enemies.

OK, Update! Super Mario for MZX is currently getting a new change of clothes! Sprites are independent now of their robot controllers and mario can actually run now! I know your all waiting for the version so I'll try my best to port all of the robot controllers to the rest of the boards. After I do that, I may add one more stage, so that you don't get bored of playing the through the same stages again. Full version should be done by the new year 2006 or sooner.

I'll keep posting the developments of this project. They be about 15 version tests before the actual final full-version.

Oh, I am adding Yoshi!

2005. I am DMZX's typo king! Not something to really be proud of though.

(I was the reason why the warning system was brought back to the new zeuxworld. I plugged SM4MZX there. It won't happen again.)

Very good news folks! Super Mario for Megazeux dev. is contiuning after I screamed that it wasn't. I was just confused at the time. The new version looks sweet and feels sweet! It is fast on ALL machines now. It still requires some tweeking before I post it.

I'm glad that there are still people interested. Everybody's trying to shut me down. This project may be my last. Ever since Kuru and Esdemo1 have been trying to debunk my explainnations for the "whole kitzu thing" I think nobody really wants me in the MZX community. I'm not sure if people know that I am not kitzu. I think people just want me gone because of my horrific grammer and spelling and for the way I started off on DMZX.

Back to SM4MZX...

I found 4 rare games for the nes that contain Yoshi sprites. Mario's time machine, Mario's missing, Yoshi and yoshi's cookies. So the manual (pixel by pixel) graphic convertions are going to be much easier.

This project is now going to be exported and continued on Zeuxworld. But if no body likes this dumb project just tell me. I don't want to waste my time on this one. I have better ones that are almost complete.

Pyro's right. Really, by now, we've all forgotten about the kitzo thing, not to mention that I believe kitzo isnt you. Yes, you've done some bad things here, but I still (and I'm sure many others) still respect you.

In other words, pull your head out of your ass and stop pouting, as we (or at least I) still are fine with you being here.

My parole is not going to be lifted anytime soon so I have become active on Zeuxworld now. If I do finish SM4MZX it'll be posted there if that is ok with the admins. I don't think they like this project. I know Kuru doesn't.

Well, like guy, I simply can't just turn away from DMZX....its too addictive. Eventhough I'm going through a lot of drama where I'm living.

The new Mario engine is complete! Once my parole is lifted on (or if) Digiboard will recieve The new Super Mario for Megazeux. It comes with new and better graphics and crazy fast game speed.

If my parole is not lifted I can't post it. I'm doing this for you guys remember!
