I have noticed that in a lot of games with forest levels, the level
is named "Forest of Illusion". Has anyone else noticed this?

I think this trend began in Super Mario World, where there were the Forests of Illusion as the 4th place thing.

i don't know if it was specifically called the forest of illusion, but in the original legend - wait it has a name, Lost Woods. SORRY. In SMW though the only thing misleading was that you had to get the secret in some level to get to the castle and escape.

Well, I figured it out automatically when it came full circle.
"Hrm... Must be some secret to this area.... hrm... secret.... hrrrrmmmmm...."
I mean really were you THAT confused by the area?
