A Note About Artwork

It is permissable to post tasteful nude art, provided you include the disclaimer "(18+)" in your topic title. This is not the same thing as posting porn or other smut. Know and be mindful of the difference. If you are unsure of whether an image you wish to post is within the bounds of good taste, run it by an Admin privately first.

It's not that I'm unlucky, I just had some stuff coming to me is all. never been ripped off, never got into a car accident, never had a computer die.

So the statistics caught up to me is all. It's not unlucky, it's just that I was to lucky for to long, and I was just due for some misfortune.

However, statistical speaking I'm STILL on top though.

I still don't have a ticket and remain to have a completely clean slate as far as the state is concerned. I don't even have my fingerprints on file. My brother has those and all he did was walk around the neighborhood passed 10pm.

I?ve yet to break a bone.

I don?t have any major scars despite my many injuries (The only scars I can think of are two, one on either hand, a pair of garden sheers were thrown through one?s palm and the other was slit on the palm with some glass I rested my weight against.

Yet I still have full use of each finger and no tendons were damaged in either injury in the least.

I am lean despite my eating habits

I beat a 3/4 chance of having diabetes.

I did not die at birth despite being born on the nurses lunch break, and my mom was not treated, my dad delivered me in 15 minutes and despite my being born still inside my embryonic sack my father with no medical training was still able to puncture the sack releasing me before I suffocated. And THEN the nurse entered. :D Our tax dollars at work.

And I?ve several other good fortunes which I simply just don?t feel like listing right now. Maybe later... but I suppose that?s more than you ever wanted to know about me.

Got to go for now, but if you want to tell me more, freel free and I can draw a picture showing all your ill happenings (just to keep this an art thread, heh) I'm gonna go and play Crash Team Racing now! wooshy!

This isn't art by me, my sister took it. That's my younger sister there by the stop sign. I like this picture...

Eh, there's no focal point that your eye is drawn to. It's nice looking (read: hot sister), I'd say if the sister was closer to the stop sign/vice versa then it would be even better! I dig the black and white, too. It might be nice to see the whole sign, not sure about that though.

Well as a general rule of thumb most all artists follow the magic square theory, which has been proven many more times than disproven, The theory states that if you take a canvas, and evenly space two virtical lines across it, and two horizontal lines down it (making a scale to fit tic tac toe board on the canvas) you'll find the true focus point of the artist at the upper right hand intersection.

Now for THIS example. Here I have drawn the tic tac toe board scaled to the image and the upper right hand intersection is...

because bramblekid was asking about a month ago to see some stuff i drew and i don't want to make a new thread for just one little picture that i scanned now i am back in possession of my scanner, i am going to post it here

i drew this back in october and it probably shows

Posted Image

and before anyone says it her hair is meant to be like that, it's not blowing in any particular direction so you're not allowed to call me on that unless you think it looks dumb

also bramblekid i am sorry i hijacked your thread but it is only the one picture

i only drew one thing all semester, i guess i was busy =(

i also apologise if the picture stretches the page slightly but i don't want to change it so i guess i don't apologise really.

i used a technical pencil, a fineliner pen and paper! i am super old-skool.

i should probably get some better equipment though, making thicker lines with just a fineliner can be a pain in the ass.

Nice, zenith, I would've never guessed. You don't absolutely have to get better equipment though, because I rarely use more than just a plain old pencil (whether it's color or not). Of course, the style you used up there might be a little easier with uh, better equipment. yeah. I was really wondering if you had done that on the computer. It almost looked like it except for the little shady lines that are all close together.

Oh and thanks, nata.

Yeah I was thinking it was touched up in a computer as well, because some of thoes lines are so smooth yet rather thick. When you inked it (if you did) Did you use a fatter marker or something?

The only computer manipulation I made was to neaten up a smudge, and to change the brightness/contrast levels in Photoshop!!!!!!!!

actually the only computer manipulation i ever do is colouring, and i don't do that often

anyway i want someone to tell me what i did wrong or is it fine because if so that's fine

but i always do something wrong so you're not allowed to say that, buttface

heh you're funny, zenith. I think you're pictures cool, and I can't say you did anything wrong, rembember? : ) I can only tell you what I don't like. The hair is cool on the fox lady thing, because you can already tell it's windy that the scarf and the tail and some hair are flowing out in front. The hair that isn't blowing around gives me the impression that it's simply, well, stiffer. Thicker. Or something like that. So it's hard for me to find something wrong, especially in a picture like that. The one thing I don't like is when there's a still-life or any kind of image with an object(s) in it and the picture isn't balanced right. It kind of hurts the eyes. Something along those lines, yeah.
