I was looking through game creation systems when I came upon ZZT. ZZT was something I wanted, because it allowed for programming in its games. After browsing many different resources for ZZT, I found a refrence to MZX and went for it.
The site I found was very well layed out, with forums I believe, but I don't remember... it was probably mworld? From what I can remember, it look very similar to the way DMZX, but that was like 5 years ago, what do I remember from then?
MZX was overwhelming at first with its ability to use the soundcard, and its ability to had editable characters... I remember looking at the into screen to the MZX encyclopedia and saying "wow, I wish I could do that"....
I played around with MZX for awhile, learned quite a bit of the robotics, and then quit using it altogether. It wasn't some time before I remember the neat little program I had found years before.
I started searching for MZX on the internet, since I really wanted to play "Bernard the Bard" again. It was about spring of 2003 I think.... I had such a hard time finding and links that were good I simply said "screw it" and left it again for a while....
I was about the summer of 2004 when I found the DMZX forum and its archive. Once again, I was looking to play "Bernard the Bard".
I was suprised to see that the forums were up to date. I was suprised I could find the games I wanted without broken links. It was a little while before I decided to get invloved with the community. That was about December 2004 when I started programming "Crop Hunter", which in my opinion turned out to be a flop...
Anyhow, that is my story of asscention to the holy plane of the DMZX forums.

Of course I couldn't get it to run at the time. Eventually I did with one of those akwende verisons that got rid of the editor. Then I got a free 486 for my room and tried running good mzx but it wouldn't work unless I used windows 3.1! Caverns is still like the only mzx game i really liked.

Oh man, Norris's website was awesome back in the day, that's the first ZZT site I've ever went on. I got so many good games from there - Escape From Planet Red by yenrab being the best.

6) Read about "Sivion for MegaZeux" in said game.
Well I'm glad I could help!

It's a shame Sivion for MZX was never completed but, oh well. That's just the way things go sometimes.
Didn't you try to actually resurrect Sivion:MZX (or possibly something else) as kind of a community-produced project at one point in time? I could have sworn I remember looking at something like that.

I'm kind of curious how much material you managed to get together from that. Not a lot, I take it?

AD really only died because I refused to renew the domain for $35 with Network Solutions. I got the domain from Legendd and by the time I realized it needed to be renewed I couldn't transfer. NS said it was too close the renewal date and that they couldn't process my request or something like that.
