EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Terryn Westbrook, also known as D.J. Lady Lyric, is one of Los Angeles?s most diverse and sought-after talents. Since relocating to L.A. from Tampa, Florida in 1999, Terryn has established herself as a creative force to be reckoned with, keeping busy as an actress, vocalist, dj and music producer.
As an actress, Terryn has been involved in a variety of different independent films, music videos, t.v. shows and commercials, working with such notable directors as David Lynch, Joe Pytka, Edward Donato, Roman Coppola, Joe and Anthony Russo & Phil Joanou.
Terryn got her start in the film and t.v. industry when she appeared in the video for ?Genie in a bottle? playing one of Christina Aguilera?s posse. Other music video appearances include Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos and Counting Crows.
Terryn has done over 2 dozen national commercials a including a U.P.S. ad campaign (you may remember her as the "stoked" owner of a skateboard company).
Currently Terryn has four national commericals running for: Toyota, Miller Beer, Priceline and I.B.M. You can also see her in an upcoming Hallmark Commercial which will be running during the next "Hallmark Hall of Fame" T.V. movie in the fall.
Besides working in commercials, Terryn also did 3 films this year. One is the highly anticipated upcoming David Lynch project entitled INLAND EMPIRE, which stars Laura Dern and Jeremy Irons.
Also, Terryn played the lead in Edward Donato's upcoming film, Hummingbird Lane, and a supporting role in "Sweetzer", directed by Wayne Reynolds, starring Jorge Garcia(LOST), and Bryan Callen( Fat Actress).
As a vocalist Terryn has worked with an array of talented music producers, doing guest vocals for Mark Verbos, Tommie Sunshine, Dave Christophere (Rabbit in the Moon), Brad Laner (Medicine/Electric Company), Ken Gibson (Eight Frozen Modules, Reverse Commuter), Omar Torres (Soulrider, Hologram) and Sukho Lee (Seksu Roba, Damo Suzuki Network).
As Lady Lyric, Terryn was the resident d.j. at the infamous downtown Los Angeles event, "Welome to the Plastic Factory" for two years, and was also one of the resident d.j.s for Resolution at Bar Vermont in Los Feliz. Since she began djing in 1999, Terryn has shared the decks with the likes of Felix the Housecat, Juan Atkins, Kenny Larkin, Collette, Jason Bentley, Kimyon, Reid Speed, Matt Simms, Magu the Subtle Navigator, Tommie Sunshine, Eli-173, David Alvarado, Q-burn?s Abstract Message, D.J. Three, Cut Chemist and many others.
These days Terryn has been taking a break from d.j.ing to focus on creating more music.
Fast Like Fiction is Terryn's band with guitarist/ producer Eric J. Rankin. This duo is currently working on their E.P. and plan to perform later this summer.
Photocall is a disco project with Eli-173, in which Terryn co-produces and sings. When they first released "Silver Clouds" on Computer Life Recordings in 2004, Photocall had no idea that it would end up appearing on the soundtrack to a feature film, a Nike website and on mixtapes and radio shows all around the globe. Photocall will be back in the studio very soon to finish the second release on Computer Life.
