It seems we're both wrong...as this article indicates, the owls were originated at Gamefaqs' "LUE" board.

As if there weren't enough reasons for me to despise LUE.

I actually have the same stance as Wervyn on the joke at this point. I'm getting quite sick of seeing it, because everybody seems to be doing it.

So I hereby make a formal request that this topic be locked. The parole doesn't seem a very effective measure against the owls in my opinion, but since this forum doesn't have any other "lesser" methods of discipline, it'll have to do.
