About Me
A lot of people have wondered what's happened to me over the years as I kinda disappeared in the early 2000s...
The short of it is that I stopped programming in Megazeux to focus on C++, got into making videos on Blip and subsequently YouTube, and am now learning other game engines to perhaps get back into gamedev once again.
The long of it is that I realized one day long ago that programming in Megazeux was fun, but it was a financial dead end. You can't make a living making Megazeux games and I really wanted to get into gamedev with some level of profit involved.
...though it didn't work out that way. I did get too shareware games out, Super Minesweeper and PixelShips Retro, but both of those are freeware now. Instead, in May of 2010, I launched a new internet show called Ancient DOS Games and that's pretty much what I've been doing since! I really do want to get back into gamedev though, but I've been focussing primarily on modern engines, like Godot and Unreal.
But, because ADG occasionally dips into things like ZZT and MegaZeux, having an excuse to come back and tinker with MegaZeux stuff is always a fun diversion! Doesn't happen often at all, but I will take advantage when it does!
