Back when DMZX started, long long ago, I was actually something of a latecomer, since I'm the type to be suspicious and dismissive of potentially faddish movements. Now, though, I'm pretty ancient, and still hanging around for some reason. Sometimes I think I'm just going through the motions because I have nothing better to do. But most of the time I realize that, even though I can't put my finger on a definite reason, there's something special about this little community, and many of the people in it. And I want to do all I can to help out, as long as there's a community that wants the help.

My biggest fear about myself is that I'm an incurably lazy person who would really much rather do nothing than something if there's a choice in the matter. But I know that's not completely the truth, since there's always a choice, and if I really felt that way I would have given up on accomplishing anything here and gone on to more important things long ago. I'm still here, working backstage with a few other people on the things that are generally taken for granted. Site maintenance, hosting costs, event planning, and all that jazz. I don't post much because I don't have much that I really think is worth saying. I just try to keep things running smoothly as best I can.
