If you're looking to make a palette fade, there is no better tool. It has a neat user interface that shows you exactly how your palette will fade, lets you specify the number of steps and the type of fade (straight, and two kinds of curves). Of course, such a thing isn't really used that much these days, but it does come in handy if you want a palette fade in your games.
