The main focus of SmartRutter's Pixel Perfect Game, hence its monicker, is on its pixel perfect player movement engine. Though it isn't completely perfect, it's a very smooth and well-designed engine, and provides a nice base to learn from for people who are unfamiliar with the recently added char edit commands.

The game itself is a nice little diversion. Its scenarios are split 50/50 between overhead and side-scrolling, and it features a variety of items you'll have to collect to advance through the game, as well as a few enemies and bosses to kill. It doesn't provide much in the way of visuals or plot, but they're passable given its short length and purpose as an engine demonstration.

Mildly recommended.
