Ned the Knight is a pretty great ZZT game and the predecessor to Bernard the Bard. This is a MZX port/demo of Ned the Knight (a demo in 2012, no less!); overall I feel like it doesn't really add anything to the original.
There's slightly better (but now wildly inconsistent) graphics, an unreadable font, music that ends up being mostly superfluous, and scrolling boards, but none of it really meshes together. Ned the Knight would really need a full-fledged remake to work in MegaZeux, and I don't see that ever happening.
The gameplay is true to the original but everything ends on exiting the castle. What we're left with is a somewhat impressive and completely unnecessary attempt to convert the original to MZX. This gets an extra star for being Ned the Knight, I guess.
If anyone's interested in playing the full game, head to http://dosbox.com/ to get a DOS emulator and then go to http://zzt.org/ to download a copy of ZZT and Ned the Knight.
