Excellent atmosphere conveyed by graphics and music, with some pretty good writing, which more than forgives the cliche-sounding story and near lack of actual gameplay. This is worth a look.

I must also take this moment to point out that this is one of the few games featured in Autumn Dreams' Xenogenesis that ever had a full-version release.

This is a classic game, with amazing storyline and amazing atmosphere. HQ SE is one of those games that pushes MZX to its limits.

This gam easily has the best music of any MZX game I've played the music is perfectly made also the graphics are gorgeous to see, Autumn Dream's graphics are always a strong point. Why the game little interactivity and a poor storyline the game, the scenes and dialogue truely are the game's strongpoint, a must have for any MZXer.

Personally, I don't give a five to a game that lacks gameplay and brags about it. Although the graphics are well executed and the music is amazing the in Honor Quest SE. Other than that, there isn't much left to it. This game has "Award-Winning" non-existing gameplay, a storyline that is all too familiar, and a game life of about 20 minutes. And the final battle really magnifies these problems to the point where the game feels lame.

This game is not so good: graphics and sound are very outdated and the gameplay is boring after sometime. Also, the longevity is scarce: you can finish it in less than one hour.

The original Honor Quest is a total MZX classic. One of the finest examples of storytelling from back in the early days of MZX's lifecycle, it features a quaint tale of love between a village urchin and a princess. But, this is one of those games that I don't feel needed to be updated. The graphics are lacking in the original Honor Quest, and they look very nice here (I was rather impressed by the forest), but the soundtrack was totally changed! And in my opinion, the whole experience suffers. The music in the original HQ was very memorable and catchy, but the newer, all homemade music, never provided me with excitement.
