Irresponsive controls that don't work when more than one key is held. You have to stand right by the enemy to count a hit, unless you use your Mega AttackĀ®, which means that you'll probably get hit by anything that's actively trying to hurt you (as can be observed if you try to attack the smiley to the far right, second screenshot). Minor complaints about presentation include how the overlay isn't even close to centered on the player and the obnoxious sound that plays when the player is hurt. There's a reason why everybody says fighter games in MZX should be done with sprites, if at all, and this is a good example of why they say that (check out Maxim's Antares from the 2010 Winter DSDoZ if you want to see a Fighter Done Right in MZX).
