A remake of the original CANS, and the most polished CANS game yet. The story of Chuck and Cindy's journey across the Bronx and NYC to stop the evil Robert. A lot of the original game has been rewritten, with the seemingly random events in the first CANS game given a structure and purpose. Graphics were vastly improved, some gameplay elements were refined, new cinemas have been added, new gameplay systems, as well as new jokes. Screwed-and-chopped gameplay features everything from a side scroller, to item hunts, to straight up classic MZX action, to some simplified RPG battles. Once again, the style of humor may not be to everyone's cup of tea, but, for the most part, it lacks the obsolete "scene" jokes from the old CANS games. Although, there's lots of subtle references and tributes to ZZT and MZX games of game past. Definitely worth your time.

Ahh yes, Cans. To the MZX community, this is a simple and crazy game full of random cameos, inside jokes, and fancy schmancy coding. But to those out of the MZX loop, this is a weird game full of random strangers, repeated orbital nukage of the fourth wall, and all kinds of gameplay elements randomly put together for seemingly no apparent reason. It's, well... it's... I dunno what to make of it, to be honest.
But I do know that whether you get the jokes or not, this update to the original Cans is an entertaining and well-made game. Silliness abounds all the way as you adventure, interact, and blow up stuff throughout the whole thing. It's mindless fun; and if you like mindless fun, give the Cans series a shot.
