I don't really get involved with the MZX community much, but what is interesting to know is that I tinkered around with MZX long before I ever bothered with ZZT. In fact, it was the younger brother of Graham Peet (who made Amnesia) who introduced me to it. I have fond memories of those early days.

I also discovered the MZX community long before I got involved with the ZZT community, being a lurker on mWorld and early DigitalMZX back in 2000. But who cares? Nobody remembers me.

Of course I'm pretty famous in both the MZX and ZZT communities for the whole "Ando is Autistic" shebang, which happened a whole internet generation ago. Don't ask, it's too stupid to get into.

Other than that I'm a pretty non-controversial character. I'm not a part of the ZZT community anymore and probably never will be so don't associate me with it, ever.

The former IRC channel of the ZZT community, located on SlashNET. Originally founded by Mooseka in 2003, it now belongs to Fungahhh and is more or less dead now. As of now, #idiots-club would be considered to be the IRC channel of the ZZT community since at least late 2006.

Ando: you forgot me :(

The main MZXer hub, DigitalMZX is home to an archive of MegaZeux games as well as a message board; until late 2002, it was a fully-realized webpage but a hosting snafu caused all of the page information to vanish. It was first known as "The Untitled MegaZeux Page" from its birth in 1999 to 2000 and ran by joshdw1 and Maverick. At first, it was a minor community page, but with the all-but-certain death of mWorld in late 2000 it quickly became the MegaZeux community hub. The two main draws of DMZX are its huge, searchable archive of MegaZeux items and its long-established forums; since its ascendance in late 2000, only Zeuxworld (and possibly the Anti-Archive on the archive front alone) had come close to matching its scope. A few ZZTers will deal with DMZX's forums for various reasons; past examples include craNKGod and Knightt, while present examples include Dr. Dos, Nadir, Ando and burstroc.

The adminship at DMZX first consisted of Mz_Weird, Sei Mamoruno, Esdemo1, joshdw1, Maverick, Hercules, and flucknugget - most had been members of the freshly-killed Square of MegaZeux. Many of the admins were replaced or have outright left the community (josh and Mav are still paying for the site even though they left years ago). The current effective admin list consists of Tixus, Esdemo1, Wervyn, Terryn, Kuddy and Exophase, with mods Lancer-X (Game Dev), RoSS (MZX General) and WildWeasel (Community). Moderation styles per admin/mod vary.

In fact, it was the younger brother of Graham Peet (who made Amnesia) who introduced me to it. Nowadays although I only open MZX on rare occasion, because it's too difficult :(

Other than that I'm a pretty non-controversial character (unlike most of the other ZZTer patrons). I'm hoping to get into graduate school soon, and I pretty much just play video games and go on the internet. Yeah.
