'''Belsambar''', also known as Belsambar.net, is a paid hosting site for the [[ZZT]] and [[MZX]] communities.

Belsambar is provided by [[Insidious|Insidious]], bought from DreamHost. It began as an attempt to create a host for [[MZXRadio]], evolved into an alternative to [[DigitalMZX]], and then turned into a hosting site when Insidious decided he needed some spending cash. It currently hosts such sites as [[Z2]], [[ZUltimate]], and hillofants ([[burstroc]]'s music site), among others. Hosting was formerly provided at a one-time fee of $9.56 US. New applicants, due to mounting hosting costs, were expected to pay a slightly saner $9.00 US a year until Insidious stopped accepting new applicants altogether.

Belsambar has been shut down since mid 2010s, with Insidious recommending other hosting providers.

'MZXCon' is planned to be an annual event where MZXers from all parts of the country or world can get together in one location for friendly competition, and socialization. MZXCon has become a staple of the community with 6 cons spread over 5 years and over a large swath of the country. Various styles of convention have been tried, with varying success.

== MZXCon 2008 ==

This convention was held in Peru, Massachusetts, at [[Insidious]]' home, on July 11th-July 13th, 2008. The attendees were:

'MZXCon' is planned to be an annual event where MZXers from all parts of the country or world can get together in one location for friendly competition, and socialization. It is still early in development, and as only two named MZXCons have passed, the details and events are still being tested for how well they fare with attending community members.

== MZXCon 2008 ==

This convention was held in Peru, Massachusetts, at [[Insidious]]' home, on July 11th-July 13th, 2008. The attendees were:

DylDrew Inc. began as a collaborative effort between best friends Andrew Warner and [[User:Insidious|Dylan "Insidious" Morrison]] to create a game called "Dreams", a rather trippy adventure through the mind of a man trapped in his own dreams as punishment for murdering his family. It shared some unintentional similarities with the Nightmare MZX/ZZT games which Insidious hadn't played yet. From there it progressed to many different game concepts which were half-made or not made at all, some of which WERE blatant copyright infringement.

After the friendship of Dylan and Andrew dissolved late 2001, the group went into hiatus until it was picked up again by new friends [[User:Insidious|Insidious]] and [[User:Apage43|Apage43]], (to be continued)
