After the DoZ, '''Idiopolis''' was re-released with bug-fixes and minor changes.

== The Story ==

THe story takes place in a small town Idiopolis, the home town of the main character Reuban. One day he receives a letter from his friend telling him that the town's most holy artifact, The Disk of the Moron, has been stolen and is being used to make everyone in Idiopolis stupid. After hearing about these tragic evens, Reuban decides to take the next plane to Idiopolis and solve the mystery of the stolen artifact.

Interactive Fantasies (IF) is a [[ZZT]]/[[MegaZeux]] company founded by Dutch [[ZZTers]] [[Hercules]] and [[zultimate:Hydra78|Hydra78]]. When it was first formed in 1996 it was called Inferno Soft; the name was changed to Interactive Fantasies in 1997. Over the years the company gained and lost members, including many of the ZZT and MegaZeux community's most prominent game makers. While better-known for their ZZT games, such as [[zultimate:Deceiving Guidance|Deceiving Guidance]], than for their MegaZeux ventures, IF was responsible for a few notable MZX games such as the four-player [[Brotherhood]].

== Basics ==

Unnamed Sidescrolling RPG is a Demo made by [[Galladin]]. The game has RPG elements fused with Side-scrolling action. You were supposed to choose you character from four pre-created characters: Fregord the Dwarf, Cephilie the Cleric, Fredric the Ranger and Doan the Paladin. After choosing your character you get to distribute your skill points between four skills: Jumping, Melee Combat, Ranged Combat and Dodge.

Each character was supposed to have their own story, weapons and items. The Only playable character in the Demo is Fregord.

How do we want to handle games that are getting linked to but which never actually got finished, and probably never will (such as LogiCow's "Dinosaur"?) I'm not sure where to go. I think there's a line between something like Dinosaur that pretty much didn't see the light of day (although I thought I recalled a small amount of material being release) and something like BattleSuits that, though it wasn't finished, did have a substantial demo. But where do we draw that line, exactly; should we have a separate category for unfinished projects?

''I suggest that in order to have an article in the MZXwiki the game has to have some proof of existing. Screenshots do not qualify as proof IMO. If Dinosaur had some amount of material released then it would deserve an article. Same with Battlesuits. I also think that we should have an article of "Unfinished projects" where projects with proof, like Anarchist Creations, Zog The Hunter 2 etc, would be put. Games like Steel Cell, Metal Rear Solid Ocean Orca etc. do not IMO deserve any kind of article, since there has never been any proof of them. What do you think?'' -Jester

[[Drastic Crusade]] was an entry in the [[Zeuxworld's First Annual Week of Zeux 2002]] with the theme of "Afterlife"; it received first place. The game took place in a dark fantasy setting; the main character Derek intended on discovering why souls were not crossing over to the spectral plane.

The gameplay is mostly MegaZeux-style sword-slashing, with a puzzle element or two.

== Criticism ==

Fighting in Drastic Crusade can be challenging. Hitting the enemies requires a "to hit roll". However when the enemy attacks, it doesn't require a "to hit roll". This leads to a frustrating problem where the player misses most of the time while the enemies do a successful hit every time.

Larry the Junkie is a [[Newyear Dualstream Day of Zeux Q4 2002]] game made by The Finnards that received the 4th place. The gameplay is very simple. It mostly consists of going from point A to point B while interacting with NPCs. The game also features a pseudo-mini-game.

== The Story ==

You are Larry, the neighborhood junkie who is addicted to "the medicine". Your boss gives you a mission to sell drugs to the people of the ghetto so that you may earn money for "the medicine". After you have done this deed you decide to visit the local pharmacy where you usually get your fix. While discussing with the clerk you find out that there is a new "the medicine" that is even better than the old one and so you decide to begin your adventure.

== Bugs ==

There is a severe bug in the interaction "engine". If there is no-one to interact with when you push space the engine breaks thus making the game impossible to finish.

The Finnards also participated in a bunch of Day of Zeux competitions, and a Week of Zeux competition.

Their first DoZ entry, "Wither" (2002), was a flop, resulting in a 10th place. After this came the [[2002 Dualstream Week of Zeux]], being a disappointment, and with only three other teams competing, the Finnards won the competition with their game called "[[Drastic Crusade]]". Half a year later they finished 4th in [[Newyear Dualstream Day of Zeux Q4 2002]] with "[[Larry the Junkie]]", in 2003 they failed again with "Depravity", but finally won the DoZ in 2004 with "Idiopolis" (which was later on released under Interactive Fantasies, slightly modified and fixed). In the [[Christmas 2006 Dualstream Day of Zeux]] Galladin and Jauhis surprisingly finished 2nd with "The Red Giant".

The main objective is to roam around different locations (Junkyard, Wallmart, Jacock's Kiosk, Asylum, Forest) and collect items and/or trigger events that let you advance to the next part.

You play the role of Jermu, a town drunkard who doesn't get served alcohol in his local pub. Infuriated by these events he decides to vandalize the pub's sign. On his way to home, to plot more evil things for Pena's dismay, he gets hit by a car and thrown down to a sewer. In the sewer Jermu gets in contact with radioactive slime that turns him into a Zombie.

== Basics ==

Idiopolis is a an action/adventure game made for the [[12th Biannual 2004 New Year's DualStream DoZ]] by [[Galladin]], [[Jauhis]] and [[Jester]]. The game is a simple adventure game with action elements. The objective is to interact with items/people until you reach the [[final boss]]. After the DoZ, Idiopolis was re-released with bug-fixes and minor changes.

== The Story ==

THe story takes place in a small town Idiopolis, the home town of the main character Reuban. One day he receives a letter from his friend telling him that the town's most holy artifact, The Disk of the Moron, has been stolen and is being used to make everyone in Idiopolis stupid. After hearing about these tragic evens, Reuban decides to take the next plane to Idiopolis and solve the mystery of the stolen artifact.

The Finnards

"The Finnards" is the collective name for the Finnish MegaZeuxers [[Galladin]], [[Jester]], and [[Jauhis]]. Other Finnish MegaZeuxers exist (such as [[Ghent]] and [[Leper_Mess]]) but the Finnards knew each other in real life and often worked together.

The Finnards joined the MZX community and DigitalMZX boards in 2002, and formed their MZX company called [[Rune Creations]]. The only "game" released under Rune Creations was the demo version of "Dungeons of Kalborn", by Galladin.

In 2003 Jester and Galladin joined the [[Interactive Fantasies]], shortly followed by Jauhis. While in IF, they released 3 finished games; [[Zombie Quest]] (Jester & Jauhis), [[Call of Caethrath]] (Jauhis), and a remake of [[Idiopolis]] (Jester, Jauhis, Galladin).

The Finnards also participated in a bunch of Day of Zeux competitions, and a Week of Zeux competition.

Their first DoZ entry, "Wither" (2002), was a flop, resulting in a 10th place. After this came the [[2002 Dualstream Week of Zeux]], being a disappointment, and with only three other teams competing, the Finnards won the competition with their game called "Drastic Crusade". Half a year later they finished 4th in [[Newyear Dualstream Day of Zeux Q4 2002]] with "Larry the Junkie", in 2003 they failed again with "Depravity", but finally won the DoZ in 2004 with "Idiopolis" (which was later on released under Interactive Fantasies, slightly modified and fixed). In the [[Christmas 2006 Dualstream Day of Zeux]] Galladin and Jauhis surprisingly finished 2nd with "The Red Giant".
