#jkpj13 is an IRC channel created by JohnK in September 2006. It has a few regulars from #mzx and a few from some other channels on EsperNet. Some of the older regulars found their way in through John's oddly successful methods of advertising it by simply inviting random people to it. It attracted a surprising amount of members in the first week, but has somewhat rolled off in membership.

The channel is run by JohnK, lodiduh, pyro1588, Insidious, Spears_Dracona and Apage43. For a short time, Commander Pancake was an op, but within a matter of days his status was taken away. The ops' general philosophy of the channel is you can talk about almost anything as long as it doesn't totally offend them.

It is quite successful despite being created by such a new member to the community. The channel averages 10-20 members. When the channel first grew in popularity, it had more users than #mzx. However, a lot of those people did not come back the next day. Oddly enough, even with so few people, it still tends to have more females in it than #mzx on a good day.
