Quick reference
This list should point out most of the Wiki coding used on most articles.
- To italicize a section, encase it in pairs of single quotes, like this: ''ITALIC TEXT''
- To bold a section, encase it in triplets of single quotes, like this: '''BOLD TEXT'''
- To link to an internal wiki article, box the name of the article with double brackets, like this: [[Example]] This will link to the "Example" page with the text "Example". To change the shown text, use a pipe character and type the desired text after it, like this: [[Example|FAQ Example.]] In both cases, the case of the first letter does not matter, but the case of the others DOES.
- To link to an external link, box the link and desired link text with brackets, like this: [http://google.com Google]
- To create a header, put the header between two equal signs on both sides, like this: ==Header==
- To leave your signature on a comment, use a pair of dashes and four tildes, like this: --~~~~
- To make a page redirect to another page, use the text #REDIRECT followed by a link to the desired page, like this: #REDIRECT [[Desired Page]]
- To insert a template (such as the Stub template) encase the name of the template in double curved brackets, like this: {{stub}} Other templates, such as the User template, take values. Look at each template beforehand to see how to apply them.
- To create a bullet list, start each desired section with a * character.
- To create a numbered list, start each desired section with a # character.
- When mentioning IRC channels in wiki articles, make special care to avoid the wiki engine turning the # signs into a numbered list. To avoid this, tell the wiki engine to ignore wiki coding of # signs with the <nowiki> tag, like this: <nowiki>#</nowiki>
- To add a category to an article, simply act as if linking to the category's page. EX: [[Category:MegaZeuxers]] To actually link to categories or templates, a colon must precede the category/template article name. EX: [[:Category:MegaZeuxers]]
- To link to ZU articles, use this syntax: [[zultimate:Page_name]]
